welcome to

our parish

Welcome to the Parish of St. Symphorosa & St. Rene.

We are a church committed to worship and service. These are the two oars we row in response to the mission we have been given by our Lord. Jesus gave the Great Commission and sends us out as workers in the vineyard.

The primary challenge of this commission is to make disciples. We aspire to be a place where disciples make disciples, and that our hearts be transformed by God’s love so that are attentive to the things of God and to the needs of our neighbors.

The title pastor means shepherd. My role is to help us move closer to God and closer to one another. We want to foster reverent but joy-filled worship at Holy Mass. This, in turn, prepares our hearts to go back into the world as heralds of the good news of salvation.

Our Christ-centered focus keeps us from turning in on ourselves.

Love calls us to remain other-focused in response to commandment to love God and love neighbor. The two go together.

We aspire to be a spiritual home for every hungry heart. If you a searching, we want to help you search. If you are in need of life’s basics, we want to assist you. If you are lost, we want to help you find the Someone who brings a peace that surpasses all understanding.

Come help us row the two oars of worship and service. Our appreciation and reverence for the Eucharist inspire us to go out and serve the Lord. The doors of our two beautiful church buildings invite us to enter inside to pray; the doors then serve as an entrance back into a world starving for authentic love. We want to be instruments of this love in what we say and what we do.

If you are not registered as a parishioner, please register. Call the parish office for assistance. We want to be here for your spiritual needs, but also through various ministries, we want to be here for other needs as well.

May God bless you.
